Getting started
Install ClickCutout, open the extension and sign in with Google. Allow image access during setup, then use the right-click menu whenever you need a cutout.
How to remove a background in Chrome
Copy and download
Choose Copy to paste the result with Ctrl+V on Windows or ⌘V on Mac. Choose Download to save it in your Downloads folder. Set PNG, WebP or JPEG in the extension before running the action.
Image access
Chrome may ask to read and change data on all websites. Select Allow to continue. ClickCutout uses this access for the image you choose; it does not scan pages.
In older versions, this button is called Enable.
- Open Chrome’s puzzle icon → ClickCutout → Allow image access. Confirm with Allow if Chrome shows a prompt. You can do this at any time, even after dismissing the first request.
- If access is still restricted, open Chrome’s Extensions → Manage extensions → ClickCutout → Details. Under Site access, choose On all sites. If that option is missing, use Allow image access in ClickCutout first.
- Return to the page with your image and reload it. Right-click the image → ClickCutout → choose Copy or Download again. Your earlier action does not restart automatically.
If your organization manages these settings, ask your administrator. Chrome pages and some protected images cannot be accessed, even with permission.
Your account
Sign in with the Google account you used when purchasing a plan. Open your account page to check your image allowance and extra credits, or manage an existing subscription.
