What the service processes
When you choose a background-removal action, the selected image is sent to our Cloudflare Worker and Cloudflare Images for processing. The result is returned to your browser. We do not intentionally store the original or processed image in the current workflow.
Chrome API data and Limited Use
ClickCutout's use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to provide or improve the extension's visible background-removal features.
We do not sell Chrome user data, use it for personalized advertising, or allow humans to read it unless you give explicit consent for support, or access is required for security, abuse prevention, or compliance with applicable law.
Account information
Google sign-in provides an account identifier, verified email address, display name, and profile image. We use this information to maintain your session, allowance, purchases, and account page.
Billing information
Stripe processes checkout, payment details, invoices, subscriptions, refunds, and the customer portal. We store Stripe identifiers and entitlement status, but we do not receive or store full card details.
Usage information
We record successful and failed transformation identifiers, timestamps, input size, output format, quota reservations, credits, and error codes. This supports accurate counting, retries, fraud prevention, and customer support.
Diagnostics and session recordings
PostHog EU receives technical actions and errors, linked to your account ID and email for support. We do not send images, third-party page URLs, credentials, or card details. With your permission, we also collect usage analytics and masked session recordings of the ClickCutout website and extension popup, never other websites. You can change this optional choice using Privacy settings. Technical service logs remain active. Session recordings are retained for 30 days.
Retention
Account and billing records are retained while your account or legal obligations remain active. Expired sessions and temporary OAuth codes may be deleted routinely. Billing records can be retained when required for accounting or legal compliance.
Processors
- Cloudflare for hosting, database, image processing, and operational logs.
- Google for account authentication.
- Stripe for checkout, billing, tax tools, and the customer portal.
Your choices
You may sign out, stop using the extension, manage your subscription through Stripe, and request access or deletion of eligible account data.
